Certificates will not be reprinted. First Aid Attendants and employers do not need to take any actions to qualify for the extensions.
Energy Safety Canada, in recognition of the challenges brought on by mitigation measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, has extended the expiry date of the H2S Alive certificates.
All Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive certificates expiring between January 1, 2020 and September 1, 2020 will remain valid up to and including September 1, 2020.
Certificates will not be reprinted and no further action is required for the extension. Worker profiles will be updated and can be verified using Energy Safety Canada's online Certificate Validation tool.

Marine Basic First Aid and Marine Advanced First Aid certificates that are due to expire between March 16, 2020 and September 1, 2020 are granted a 6 month extension from the expiry date by Transport Canada.
