St. John Ambulance OFA 1 equivalent as well as WorkSafeBC Occupational Level 2 & 3 certificates that are due to expire between March 1 and August 31, 2020 will be granted a 180-day extension beyond their original expiry date. If you are unable to recertify immediately, please view these OFA Level 1 videos here, to brush up on your skills. All Energy Safety Canada (H2S Alive) certificates expiring between January 1 and September 1, 2020 will remain valid up to and including September 1, 2020

All St. John Ambulance certificates that are due to expire between March 17 and August 31, 2020 will be granted a 180-day extension beyond their original expiry date.


Certificates will not be reprinted. First Aid Attendants and employers do not need to take any actions to qualify for the extensions.  

Energy Safety Canada, in recognition of the challenges brought on by mitigation measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, has extended the expiry date of the H2S Alive certificates.

All Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive certificates expiring between January 1, 2020 and September 1, 2020 will remain valid up to and including September 1, 2020.

Certificates will not be reprinted and no further action is required for the extension. Worker profiles will be updated and can be verified using Energy Safety Canada's online 
Certificate Validation tool.

Marine Basic First Aid and Marine Advanced First Aid certificates that are due to expire between March 16, 2020 and September 1, 2020 are granted a 6 month extension from the expiry date by Transport Canada.
 
Certificate holders do not need to take further action for the extension.
 
The attached Transport Canada bulletin refers to Marine Medical Certificates.  That is the category that Marine Basic and Marine Advanced First Aid certificates fall under.
