In this notice, CPR-C is used to refer to all CPR level courses (A, B, C or BLS)

  • The Standard First Aid Course includes CPR level C
  • The Standard First Aid expires in 3 years

The CPR certificate does not have an expiry date because it is up to the employer if it is still acceptable. But if the employer’s policy is that a person MUST have an issued CPR certificate every year, then a person may take part in a renewal class if it has been no more than 18 months since the original.

The National St John Ambulance policy is going to be reflected in the Yukon starting 2020. Where a person cannot recertify or renew any first aid/CPR certification based on a recertification certificate.
